It has been my privilege and joy to serve this phenomenal congregation since October 2013. Before coming to Emanuel, I was the Interim Minister at First Federated Church (North Jackson, Ohio). Previously, I served churches in Solon, Hudson, and North Canton, Ohio. I am a second career Pastor spending the early part of my working life in sales for IBM and SunGard Higher Education. I received my B.A. in Linguistics from Ohio State University and my Master of Divinity from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio (Delaware, Ohio).

I have two grown children, Matthew and Carol, who both live on the East Coast. I live with my trusty dog, Baxter, in Akron near the Summit Metro Parks where we spend much time exploring the trails.

I love most everything about Northeast Ohio. I am an avid movie-goer and a fan of all of the arts that Cleveland has to offer especially Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Orchestra, and University Circle museums. I also enjoy rooting for the Cleveland sports teams. And, who wouldn’t love a visit to Amish Country?
